About This Event

Karwa Chauth - Day of Love and Devotion

Traditional one-day fast observed by married women for the wellbeing and longevity of their husbands, with moonrise puja and community celebration.

The Sacred Fast

Karwa Chauth is a one-day fast from sunrise to moonrise observed by married Hindu women for the safety, health, and longevity of their husbands. It strengthens the bond of love in marriage.

Event Schedule

  • 4:00 PM: Gathering and registration
  • 4:30 PM: Mehendi application corner opens
  • 5:30 PM: Karwa Chauth Katha (story narration)
  • 6:30 PM: Group puja and rituals
  • 7:45 PM: Moon sighting and fast-breaking ceremony
  • 8:15 PM: Couples dinner and celebration

  • Karva (earthen pot) for ritual use

Traditional Rituals

Dress Code

Traditional festive attire (red, maroon, or bright colors preferred)

  • Saree or Lehenga
  • Full traditional jewelry and solah shringar
  • Mehendi application on hands

Entry Fee: £12 per person (includes all puja materials, mehendi, and dinner)
